Ghanaian highlife sensation, Kofi Kinaata, has revealed that awards are the last thing on the table when making songs.
Speaking in an interview with Herty on the ONE KING SHOW, Kofi stated that he make songs to project certain things to the audience and not particularly for awards.
“Awards are the last thing on my mind when making music. I believe music should be able to speak about something, and add value to them. When you listen to country music, they speak about certain places that you’d even love to visit and that’s what I do. Some people want to visit Takoradi and Effiakuma just because of how I’ve portrayed those cities in my songs,” he said.
The “Effiakuma Love” crooner also revealed that he’ll be dropping his debut EP on 15th April 2024; as the day marks his birthday.
“15th April is my birthday and I’ll be dropping my EP. We’re still selecting the songs and we have fifteen now; we’re looking for seven songs for the EP,” he revealed.
