Liverpool’s manager, Jurgen Klopp, is confident about the future of his team despite their disappointing season. Following their loss against Manchester City, he stated that they plan to invest in the upcoming transfer window.
Liverpool know they’ll have to change things up next season if they are to return to Europe’s elite. After a very poor performance this term, Jurgen Klopp spoke about what his side’s course next season will be. “If we spend €100 million on a player ? We’re not talking about that, but we’ll spend money in the summer”, the German claimed when speaking to the press after his side’s loss against Manchester City.
On who could potentially join the Reds, Klopp didn’t go into that: “That’s what I can say confidently. In terms of who and how much, I can’t say a lot”. For now, there are several players who may be leaving Liverpool next season: Roberto Firmino, Naby Keita and Oxlade-Chamberlain, and they might not qualify for any European competition either.
Even before the game against City, the Liverpool manager had promised that the side were going to spend in the next market. This came after he called this season an ‘anomaly’.
