The Ghana Police Service has commenced investigations into a recent incident involving Joana Gyan Cudjoe, the NDC Parliamentary candidate for Wassa Amenfi Central, and members of the Adjakaa Manso community in the Western Region.
According to a statement released by the police, the incident occurred on Saturday, November 30, 2024, when Cudjoe’s team encountered a vehicle blocking the road while returning from a political event. A confrontation between her team and the vehicle’s driver led to a misunderstanding, which escalated, involving community members. The clash resulted in injuries to two individuals and damage to two vehicles.
The police are urging community members to remain calm as they continue their investigations and work to apprehend those responsible.
