Ghanaian socialite and a musician Samuel Safo, popularly known as Showboy, took to social media to mock stonebwoy after he was left out of the list of artistes to perform at Vybz Kartel’s upcoming “freedom concert.”
In a video shared on social media, Showboy accused the Ghanaian dancehall artiste for speaking “fake patois” and went on to make some allegations that it was the main reason Vybz Kartel didn’t call him to perform at the “ freedom concert.”
He praised Shatta Wale, who was invited to perform, often blends the Ghanaian Language (Ga) in his music, yet he has gained recognition on the international stage.
He said “ The only dancehall king we have in Africa who was invited by Vybz Kartel to perform at the freedom concert is Shatta wale. Stonebwoy speaks fake patois, that why Vybz didn’t invite him. Shatta wale mostly blend the “Ga” in his song, yet has gained international recognition.
He claimed that he respects Stonebwoy as one of the biggest artiste in Ghana but their issues is personal from when Stonebwoy refused to appreciate him after the “ Bie Gya” song was released.
He further went on to accused Stonebwoy of selecting songs without credit, making references of the Buk Bak’s “Kolom” in his latest track “ Jiggle and Whine”
