The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Fifi Kwetey, has issued a stern warning that electoral malpractices will not go unpunished.
In a brief statement shared on X (formerly Twitter), Mr. Kwetey cautioned those involved in election irregularities, emphasizing accountability after the expected transition of power on January 7.
“Electoral crimes have no expiry date. After January 7, the time of reckoning will come,” his post read.

Mr. Kwetey’s comments come amid the ongoing re-collation of results for nine disputed constituencies by the Electoral Commission (EC). The re-collation process, taking place at the EC’s regional office in Accra, has so far confirmed results in seven constituencies, all in favor of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The constituencies declared are:
- Ahafo Ano North
- Techiman South
- Ahafo Ano South West
- Nsawam Adoagyiri
- Obuasi East
- Okaikwei Central
- Tema Central
Kwetey’s statement signals the NDC’s intent to pursue justice for perceived electoral malpractices, suggesting that their efforts to address such issues will extend beyond the immediate post-election period. This firm stance reflects the party’s determination to hold individuals accountable for any violations of electoral integrity.
