Ghanaian actor and film producer Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lilwin, has made a startling revelation about the cost of producing his movie, ‘A Country Called Ghana.’ In an interview with Zionfelix, Lilwin disclosed that he spent a whopping amount of over $40,000 to feature Nigerian actor Ramsey Noah in the movie.
According to Lilwin, the amount paid to Ramsey Noah did not include accommodation and feeding expenses. He also shared an amusing anecdote about how he was initially quoted a higher price because the team thought he was a Nigerian.
Furthermore, he revealed that he spent over one million Ghana cedis on promoting the movie. He emphasized the importance of promotion, stating that it was the key factor that contributed to the movie’s success. As part of his promotional strategy, Lilwin purchased a Benz, which generated significant attention and attracted high-profile attendees, including ministers and MPs, to the movie’s premiere.
Lilwin’s investment in promotion was substantial, with over twenty billboards and four thousand T-shirts produced to create buzz around the movie. His commitment to promoting ‘A Country Called Ghana’ has paid off, and the movie has undoubtedly benefited from his efforts.
