Asante Kotoko has officially announced the signing of Daniel Adrian Adjetey, a versatile 24-year-old defender, on a one-and-a-half-year deal. Adjetey, who has previously played for Nania FC, returns to Ghana after stints abroad with Naestved in Denmark’s Division 2 and BFC Daugavpils in Latvia’s top flight.
Adjetey is a dynamic player capable of operating in multiple positions, including right-back, left-back, and right-winger. His versatility and experience bring a new dimension to the Kotoko squad as they look to strengthen their defense and attack options.
Sharing his excitement about joining the club, Adjetey said:
“It’s an incredible feeling to join Kotoko. This is one of the biggest clubs in Africa, and I’m honored to be part of it. I’ve had the privilege of playing abroad, but coming back to represent Kotoko feels special. One of the reasons”
“I wanted to play in Ghana again is the exceptional project the club’s management put forward to me. It’s exciting, and I’m confident this is the right place for me to grow as a player and contribute to something great. I know the expectations here are high, and I’m ready to work hard, compete for my place, and give my all to help the team succeed.”
Adjetey’s signing underscores Kotoko’s commitment to bolstering their squad with quality talent as they push for success in domestic and continental competitions.
Asante Kotoko is currently 3rd on the Ghana Premier League log with 2 points behind league leaders Bibiani GoldStars. The Porcupine Warriors will host Karela United at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on January 26.
According to reports, Adjetey is likely to make his debut against Karala United in the GPL match week 18 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
