Ghanaian musician Akwaboah has finally addressed speculation surrounding the cancellation of his annual “Shades of Love” concert in 2024. The event, initially scheduled for February 14, 2024, was called off, sparking rumors that Akwaboah had backed out due to a conflicting concert by fellow artist Kwabena Kwabena at the same venue.
However, the “Bye me bo” crooner has now revealed that the true reason for the cancellation was due to issues with securing a suitable venue and scheduling conflicts with other gigs. In a recent interview on Daybreak Hitz, Akwaboah clarified, “I didn’t stage my concert last year due to issues with venues and other gigs, not because of Kwabena Kwabena.”
Akwaboah’s statement puts to rest speculation that he had cancelled his concert due to competition from Kwabena Kwabena’s event. Instead, it appears that logistical challenges and scheduling conflicts were the primary reasons for the cancellation.
Fortunately, fans of Akwaboah will have another opportunity to experience his “Shades of Love” concert, as the event has been rescheduled for February 14, 2025, at the Palms Convention.
