Fuel prices have gone up again as Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) adjust rates in early February.
Shell raised petrol prices from GH₵15.59 per litre in January to GH₵16.23. Diesel now sells at GH₵16.20, up from GH₵15.79.
Star Oil kept petrol at GH₵14.99 per litre but increased diesel from GH₵14.99 to GH₵15.37.
The Chamber of Petroleum Consumers (COPEC) predicted the hike, blaming global crude prices and the cedi’s depreciation.
Meanwhile, Edudzi Tameklo, Acting CEO of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), assured consumers of efforts to stabilize prices.
