Two of the week 20 games of the Ghana Premier League were held today as Karela United hosted Kotoko at the Naa Sheriga Sports complex at Naleirugu.
Ibrahim Giyas’ only goal separated the two sides at the end. Goalkeeper for Karela United Abdul Ganiu won the man of the match after putting up a splendid performance and some good saves.
Elsewhere in Sogakope, Samuel Boadu lost his first game heavily to Accra Lions FC by 5-0. Goals were scored by Dominic Amponsah,Ali Mohammed, Abdul Shukan Aboubakar and a brace from Blessing Asuman.
This defeat is one of the most heaviest defeats for Samuel Boadu as a coach.
