Akosua Asaa Manu, popularly known as Kozie, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for Adentan, has called for peace following an alleged attack on her driver. Speaking in an interview with Citi FM, Manu revealed that her driver sustained serious injuries in what she claims was an orchestrated attack by supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
“He’s hurt… very, very hurt!” Manu lamented, describing the extent of the injuries. While expressing concern over rising political tensions, she urged all parties to promote peaceful campaigns as the December 7 elections draw closer.
Manu emphasized that the political rivalry should not descend into violence. “We must remember that elections are about ideas and policies, not physical confrontations. I urge calm and peace for the sake of our democracy,” she stated.
The situation remains under scrutiny as Ghanaians hope for a peaceful and transparent election on December 7. However, the special voting for security personnel and other special voters is ongoing at the various polling centers except the Eastern region and the central region which was rescheduled to 5th December 2024.
