Aduana Stars’ head coach, Aristical Cioaba, has expressed optimism ahead of the club’s derby clash against Berekum Chelsea, set to take place at Berekum, just 30 minutes from Aduana’s base.
Speaking about the encounter, Cioaba highlighted the intensity of the rivalry and his strong record against Berekum Chelsea. “I know about this derby, and I’ve never lost against Berekum Chelsea—it’s always been either a win or a draw. I’ve only had three days to prepare the team, but I know the spirit of the Berekum Chelsea side. I’ll work to fix certain things in this short time, and I believe the better team with good football will win,” he stated confidently.
The coach also emphasized the importance of mentality and aggression among the players. “Our players need to change their mindset, be more aggressive, and have mental toughness. I don’t like to lose games, and I want players who share the same mentality as me,” he noted.
Cioaba, who recently returned to Aduana Stars, made a heartfelt appeal to the club’s supporters. “I’m here because the fans wanted me back. I urge them to return to support the team, stand with us, and I promise to give them 100% happiness,” he said.
As Aduana Stars sit in a challenging position on the league table, the upcoming derby provides an opportunity to reignite their season.
