Nigerian Afrobeats artiste and Grammys nominee, Davido, in announcements on February 20, 2024 on his social media handles have pledged to disburse 300M Naira to orphanages around Nigeria through his foundation, DAVID ADELEKE FOUNDATION (DAF).
He indicated that the details of the disbursement will be made known on Wednesday, February 21, 2024.
“I and my foundation pledge the sum of 300 million Naira to orphanages around Nigeria … as my yearly contribution to the Nation ❤️ .. details of disbursement tomorrow 🇳🇬” – he tweeted.
This doesn’t come as a new thing as Davido in 2023 donated 237M Naira ($300,000) to orphanages across Nigeria.
The disbursement was led by Mrs. Titi Adebayo, the chair of the DAF Disbursement Committee, the funds were successfully distributed to 424 orphanages, benefiting a total of 13,818 children.
Davido has always had the commitment to give back to society.
