The Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana has assured the public of adequate election materials and equipment for the upcoming December 7, 2024, general elections. Chairperson Jean Adukwei Mensa made this announcement during her final media briefing before election day, held on December 6, 2024.
Jean Mensa expressed confidence in the commission’s preparedness, emphasizing that all regions have been supplied with sufficient election materials to ensure smooth and uninterrupted voting across the country.
“We have provided election materials and equipment to the regions in adequate quantities, and we do not anticipate any shortage in any part of the country,” she stated.
The assurance aims to allay public concerns regarding logistical challenges that could disrupt the electoral process. Mensa further highlighted the commission’s commitment to delivering a credible, transparent, and efficient election.
She called on all stakeholders, including political parties, election observers, and the general public, to collaborate with the EC in ensuring a peaceful and successful election.
