The DJ who was involved in an argument with the popular highlife artiste Fameye on stage during a concert in the UK has shared his part of the story.
Chos Media released a statement on December 18, 2024 saying, the DJ blamed the incident on the little time Fameye had with DJ Chos to rehearse.
On the report of Chos Media , Fameye participated in only two short practical sessions with particular songs
Again chos claimed the first session lasted 12 minutes in Chos car after Fameye turn down the studio section due to tiredness.
The second part which took place at the location lasted 15 minutes, throughout the process specified songs were selected to be performed.
Chos Media claimed ” Fameye had only two brief rehearsal with DJ Chos. The first session lasted 12 minutes in the DJ’s car after Fameye rejected a studio session saying he is tired. The second session, which took place at the venue lasted 15 minutes during this time, specified songs were selected for the performance.”
” A team member from the Fameye team requested that DJ Chos played Kweku Ananse for a freestyle claiming this was a directive from Fameye, carefully, DJ Chos abided even thou he was under pressure, in spite of the request being outside the agreed playlist, later on, the same person directed DJ Chos to leave the real playlist and played “Very Soon” at the latter minutes which the DJ did.
The statement read ” This decision restored the energy at the event, and Fameye expressed delight with the result. It is worth noting that “nothing i get” (original) a song Fameye wanted to perform was not part of the agreed playlist and had been rehearsed.
Chos Media hyped DJ Chos for his proven track record in successfully collaborating with other artiste. Chos Media emphasized that with over 25years of experience, DJ Chos normally takes directive from the artiste, not a team member.
” In this case, it was evident that Fameye was not in full control, which was surprising even to DJ chos. The challenge experience during Fameye’s performance stemmed from a luck pf preparation and complacency. Despite DJ Chos best efforts, the initial song choice did mot resonate with the audience, leading to invisible frustration on Fameye’s part.”
“Moving on, we encouraged Fameye and his management team to reflect on the challenges constructively. shifting blames does not address the underlying issues and is ultimately in Fameye’s best interest” the statement ended.
This came about when Fameye was seen in a viral video angrily confronting a DJ and event organizers during his performance at the “Xmas highlife concert” in London on December 15, 2024
