The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced the immediate dissolution of the management committee of the senior national football team, the Black Stars. This decision, made as part of the GFA’s restructuring efforts, marks the end of an era for the committee members who have overseen the team’s operations over the years.
In a statement released on Wednesday, November 20th, 2024, the GFA expressed gratitude to the outgoing committee members for their dedicated service and contributions to Ghanaian football.
“We sincerely thank the members of the Management Committee for their service to Ghana Football over the years,” the statement read.
The move is seen as a strategic step towards revitalizing the management framework of the Black Stars as the team after their shambolic 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualification campaign, which saw the Black Stars not able to qualify for the competition.
