America rapper Kanye West has sparked conversation with some candid remarks about his faith. In a recent statement, the American rapper expressed a belief that people can tackle challenges head-on, rather than solely relying on prayer.
West shared his personal experiences, revealing times when his prayers seemingly went unanswered. This, he says, led him to take a more proactive approach in dealing with life’s difficulties.
“I have my issues with Jesus. West admitted. ‘’There’s a lot of stuff I went through and I prayed but I didn’t see Jesus show up. So I had to put all the experiences I was dealing with into my own hands.’’
He continued by suggesting that society might rely too heavily on prayer as a solution.
‘’I feel in our society people depend on Jesus so much that we forget we can solve some of these problems on our own.’’ West stated
Kanye West emphasized the importance of action alongside faith. “You can actually do something too, more than just praying. We’re so into the belief that prayers are all we need to solve our problems. But we aren’t praying our way out of prison. These prayers aren’t working. We have to apply actual physical work”
