Hopeson Adorye, a prominent member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has cast doubt on Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s electability after the NDC lost the 2024 election. On UTV, Adorye emphatically declared, “A minority can never rule the majority. If the NPP repeats Dr. Bawumia as their candidate 10 times, they will lose 10 times.”
Adorye further criticized the internal dynamics of the NPP, stating, “In the NPP, if you’re not a professor or a doctor, your advice is often dismissed compared to that of those with academic titles.” He emphasized that such attitudes have contributed to the party’s internal divisions, as many feel their expertise and contributions are undervalued unless they have formal academic credentials.
