Former Aduana Stars striker, Isaac Mintah, is on the verge of joining Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko.
According to reports, the 26-year-old forward successfully underwent a medical examination last week, a crucial step towards finalizing his transfer.
The Porcupine Warriors have been actively pursuing Mintah to strengthen their attacking options, and their efforts appear to have been successful. He is expected to sign a two-and-a-half-year contract, allowing him to don the iconic red jersey of Kotoko.
Sources close to the club indicate that the management and Mintah’s representatives have agreed on personal terms, with only minor formalities remaining to be completed. This signing aligns with Kotoko’s strategy to bolster their squad for the upcoming league matches and reclaim their dominance.
Isaac Mintah has been without a club since August 2024 after leaving Libyan side Al-Ahli Tripoli. Prior to his stint in Libya, he excelled with Aduana Stars in the Ghana Premier League, scoring 17 goals in 40 matches. He initially joined the club in 2022 from lower-tier side New Edubiase United. His consistent performances established him as one of the league’s top strikers, attracting the attention of top clubs like Kotoko.
This imminent move signifies Kotoko’s commitment to building a formidable squad capable of challenging for titles. Mintah’s proven track record in Ghana’s top flight, combined with his brief international experience, could be the perfect blend of skill and composure needed to elevate the team’s performance.
