Kofi Adomah Nwanwani, renowned Ghanaian Journalist is undergoing urgent medical treatment in Dubai to address a severe eye injury sustained during a traditional funeral in Dormaa, Bono Region.
The accident occurred last week when gunpowder from a musket, fired during the event, struck his face, causing serious damage to one eye and blurry vision in the other.
Kofi Adomah, the Chief Executive Officer of Kofi TV reportedly sustained the injury while repositioning himself near the firing of musketry by chiefs at the ceremony.
The initial medical response took place in Ghana before he was flown to Dubai for specialised care. A source close to Kofi Adomah confirmed that efforts are focused on restoring sight to his blurry eye, although the damage to the other eye appears irreversible.
“He’s now in Dubai seeing to restoring the one eye that is blurry. But it looks like the other one cannot see again,” the source said.
The journalist’s critical condition has drawn widespread concern, with many praying for a successful recovery and expressing sympathy over the tragic incident.
