Ghana rapper medikal expressed his confidence in the president-elect John Dramani Mahama to change the country’s economical situation.
The multi- award- winner on December 7 tweeted that he urge John Dramani Mahama president- elect to treat the wellbeing of Ghanaian youth when sworn into office.
He tweeted “ let it be known to the incoming president, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama that, I do not trust him but rather believe in him. Let this new change be exhibited drastically. On September 2021, we recall the police arrested medikal for showing off a gun in a video posted on social media. He was later charged with unlawful display of arms and ammunition.
Medikal had initially pleaded not guilty to the charges when he appeared before court for the first time, but the court refused to grant his bail.
Recounting his agony in the tweet, medikal linked the incident to the NPP government claiming that his arrest was without a tangible proof. He started that when his lawyers followed up on the matter, they said “ it was an order from above”
he tweeted saying “NPP arrested me for no tangible reason, NPP put me in cells, locked me up in jail all in the name of power. My lawyers tried to communicate with superiors and all they got in response was “it’s an order from above from above”
