Nigerian record label led by Don Jazzy, Mavin Records, has officially announced their partnership with American record label, Universal Music Group.
Universal Music Group has the biggest global market share as part of the 3 major labels in the world.
This makes this deal exciting for many as Mavin Records boast of some of the finest musicians taking African sound and culture to the global stage.
Rema, Ayra Starr are few of the people on Mavin Records making it so big for African music and culture and this partnership seems to have come at a time where Afrobeats have really made a mark.
