Ali Adolf John, the nominee for Northern Regional Minister, has vowed to prioritize peace and stability in the region during his parliamentary vetting.
Speaking before the Appointments Committee, Mr. Adolf emphasized the importance of resolving conflicts and fostering enduring peace in a region that has faced recurring tensions.
“I cherish peace so much. One of the things I want to be remembered for is peace. If I’m made the regional minister, under my regime, I don’t want to see any conflict throughout my tenure. I think that based on the foundations I will build, it will be a continuous thing even after I am gone,” he stated.
His remarks come against the backdrop of recent localized conflicts in northern Ghana, highlighting the urgency of his peace-building agenda.
