Ghanaian rapper Trigmatic has made a surprising revelation about his music catalog. In a recent interview with Doreen Avio on Daybreak Hitz, Trigmatic disclosed that he has been incorporating gospel songs into his albums, but they often go unnoticed by his fans.
When asked if he could release a gospel song, Trigmatic responded, “I’ve done so many of that… I actually have done gospel songs, but mostly I’ve realized that people don’t listen to albums.” He explained that this trend has led him to focus on releasing singles rather than promoting his gospel tracks.
Trigmatic cited his song “Ancient of Days” as an example of his gospel music, which he had planned to promote on gospel stations but unfortunately didn’t materialize.
“Like Ancient of Days is a full gospel song. I even planned on promoting it on some Gospel stations but it didn’t work,” he revealed
Despite this, he has continued to include gospel songs in his albums, hoping that his fans will eventually take notice.
Trigmatic’s comments highlight the changing landscape of music consumption, where listeners often prioritize singles over albums. As a result, artists like Trigmatic may struggle to get their gospel songs noticed, even if they are part of a larger album.
Trigmatic’s revelation serves as a reminder to fans to explore beyond singles and delve into artists’ full discographies, where hidden gems like his gospel songs may be waiting to be discovered.
