The Ghana Police Service, in collaboration with the Ghana National Fire Service, has launched an investigation into a fire outbreak that occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, December 17, 2024. The incident took place at the Kwashieman Cluster of Schools in Accra, where the Ablekuma North Constituency ballot boxes are securely housed.
Authorities have assured the public that anyone found responsible for the fire outbreak will be apprehended and brought to justice. The Police urged residents to remain calm as investigations into the cause of the incident are ongoing.
Meanwhile, the Police also provided updates on arrests related to post-election disturbances nationwide. A total of 132 suspects have been apprehended so far. Of these, 45 suspects remain in custody, 71 have been granted Police enquiry bail, while 16 suspects are currently on court bail.
