Kigali, Rwanda – In a chilling development, Rwandan authorities have apprehended a 34-year-old man suspected of being a serial killer, with allegations of involvement in the murder of more than 10 individuals.
The discovery of these gruesome crimes came to light when the police executed an eviction order on the suspect, who had been residing in a suburban area of Rwanda’s capital, Kigali. The eviction was initiated by the landlord due to the tenant’s failure to pay rent for the past seven months.
During the eviction process on Monday, the situation took a startling turn as the suspect resisted the eviction, engaging in a physical altercation with the authorities. However, it was what transpired afterward that sent shockwaves through the community.
“He apologized and displayed intense remorse, shedding tears abundantly. We detained him and transported him to the police station, where he ultimately confessed to having committed multiple murders,” revealed a police official involved in the operation.
According to law enforcement, the suspect’s grim confession unveiled a horrifying modus operandi. He allegedly enticed his victims from local bars, subsequently subjecting them to robbery, murder, and the macabre disposal of their remains. Shockingly, these victims were reportedly buried in a makeshift grave within his kitchen or dissolved in acid.
The arrest has left the local community in profound shock and disbelief as authorities continue their investigation into these horrific crimes. The suspect’s motive and the extent of his alleged acts are now at the center of a nationwide inquiry, underscoring the urgency of addressing this disturbing case.
