Ghanaian musician Showboy has made shocking allegations against dancehall artist Shatta Wale, claiming that he uses juju.
In a recent video, Showboy alleged that Shatta Wale once asked him to accompany him to Tamale for juju rituals.
According to Showboy, the 2014 VGMA AOTY’s success in collaborating with international artists such as Beyoncé and being able to perform with Vybz Kartel in Jamaica can be attributed to his use of juju.
Showboy claimed that Shatta Wale has demonstrated the power of African magic, showing that one doesn’t need to leave the continent to achieve success.
“…Shatta Wale asked me to go to Tamale with him for juju and I learned from him.
Shatta Wale has stayed in Ghana to show that African magic is good.
He’s shown that with African magic you don’t have to go anywhere. Vybz Kartel has done the same thing Beyoncé did.”

Adanko Showboy made those claims at the back of mixed reactions to Shatta Wale’s performance with Vybz Kartel in Jamaica and how Stonebwoy called him a “settings man” prior to the event – saying he’ll perform as a curtain-raiser.

The use of juju in the music industry is a sensitive topic, with some artists accused of using black magic to gain an unfair advantage. While some believe that juju can bring success and fame, others see it as a form of cheating and a threat to the integrity of the music industry.
As the debate rages on, fans and industry insiders await Shatta Wale’s response to Showboy’s allegations.
