Andy Sinason, assistant coach of Nsoatreman FC expressed disappointment after his side suffered a 1-0 defeat to Young Apostles in their recent Ghana Premier League clash.
“I don’t think it was a bad game. We devised a strategy but couldn’t capitalize on our chances,” he said after the match
The decisive goal came in the 63rd minute courtesy of Emmanuel Fosu Kyei. Despite creating several scoring opportunities, Nsoatreman struggled to convert them, a recurring theme in their recent matches. Sinason acknowledged this challenge, stating, “In our previous games, we created opportunities but failed to convert them. We’re still working on that,” he said. “It was their home game, and they won. Now, we need to return home and secure victories. We must regroup and start winning games.””
While the defeat leaves them in a precarious position on the league table, Sinason remains optimistic about their chances of avoiding relegation. “It’s too early to talk about relegation; we have about 16 games left to play. The team can fight its way to survive,” he assured.
Nsoatreman FC currently occupies 14th place on the Ghana premier league standings with 18 points after 18 matches. Their next fixture presents a significant challenge as they face league leaders Asante Kotoko on February 2nd at the Nana Professor Koronmansa II Park. ED
