The West African Football Academy (WAFA) has been boosted with a donation of medical equipment from German physiotherapy company Kanzlsperger, in collaboration with its local partner, Professor Jonathan Quartey.
The presentation ceremony took place on Friday in Sogakope, the club’s current base. Managing Director of WAFA, Jan Gosgens, expressed profound gratitude to Kanzlsperger and Professor Quartey, acknowledging the vital role the equipment will play in the academy’s operations.
“This donation is a testament to the strong relationships we’ve built over the years and will significantly enhance our medical and physiotherapy facilities,” said Gosgens.
Professor Quartey, a former WAFA staff member, reflected on his longstanding association with the academy. “My relationship with WAFA dates back many years. I worked with the club for 11 years before their relocation to Sogakope, and we’ve maintained a connection, particularly in the area of human resource support,” he said.
The partnership underscores WAFA’s commitment to fostering international collaborations to improve player development and welfare.
