Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo praised his team’s performance after AFC Bournemouth’s convincing 3-0 victory over Manchester United in the Premier League.
“It’s back-to-back wins here. I think we got the press right. It’s just a good team performance away. It’s lovely and great,” Antione Semenyo said. “Coming into the second half with a lead was definitely perfect. The game was in our hands, so we had to do what we were doing to win the game. We did exactly that and we won.”
The win marked Semenyo’s 14th Premier League appearance this season and his 60th league outing since joining Bournemouth from Championship side Bristol City in the 2022/23 season. His decisive goal in the 63rd minute put the game out of reach for Manchester United and secured a valuable three points for Bournemouth.
The match saw Bournemouth’s Dean Huijsen open the scoring in the 29th minute, followed by Justin Kluivert’s penalty goal in the 61st minute after being fouled by Noussair Mazraoui. Semenyo’s strike just two minutes later sealed the victory.
This win propels Bournemouth to fifth in the Premier League table with 28 points from 17 matches. Semenyo has been a key contributor this season, scoring five goals and providing one assist in 16 league appearances.
Looking ahead, Bournemouth will next host Crystal Palace in the Premier League on December 26th. Fans will be eager to see if they can continue their impressive form.
